I have 07 vulcan 900 custom and it seems like it should have a 6 th gear any sugestions

 

Maybe you're just riding too fast...lol.

 

I not a speed demon only go 50 to 55 unless on an interstate then I go 60 65,and then the rpm is really high. it acts like it should have a 6th gear.

 

Does the bike actually have a tach? What is it reading? I know a lot of cruisers have seemed that way to me. My stepdad has a VTX1800, and I've always said it needed another gear.

 

no tach on the the bike it has drag pipes and the are really talking at 50 or 55 mph but it also feels like it is reving real high.

 

It may just be the way it's designed to run. Especially with the pipes, it may just sound that way to you. What are you used to that you are comparing it to? Do you have any pics by the way?

 

no I did some more search and checking.My speedometer is of at 55 its off by 5 mph.I have to change the pulleys both front and back.I will try to clean it up and get some pics on.As far as comparing it this is my first bike I owned but I have been on many different bikes old harelys new ones hondas yamahas suzukis kawasaki cruizers sports street and trail.
