How is it difficult? How are you trying to downshift? If you pull in the clutch all the way and the RPMs do not drop off your clutch may not be disengaging fully, should be an easy fix. If you pull in the clutch all the way and the RPMs drop off properly, it could be an adjustment issue with the shift lever or a problem with the syncronizers. If your not pulling the clutch in all the way or not using the clutch at all, review your technique for errors.

will do but with this bike you have to feel the downshift. Ex. when on the highway, once i get to fifth gear and i wanna downshift getting off the highway i cant just pull the clutch all the way in. i have to pull it in and let it go slowly while im trying to downshift until i feel it downshift. It causes many problems because then i have to pullover and play with it until it downshifts. im thinking about taking it to a mechanic.

As mentioned, it could be as simple as adjusting your clutch cable. Check in your manual first. Good luck on the fix. 2-3mm free play at the lever, about 5-6mm of threads visible at the clutch cover I think it is. |
so i found out it might be something wrong with the transmission which is a $1500 fix or the clutch which is a $100 fix im hoping for the clutch

Ouchy, no fun at all. If you got some tools and some friends with some know how you can get that transmission done alot cheaper, might cost some beer tho. Crossing fingers for the clutch.
