Severe Newbism

Hey all,
My name's Jason and I live in Western Washington. I just bought this '76 750. I'm 39 and I haven't been on a bike since I was a teenager. So I'm here to LEARN! Mostly I hope to learn how to take care of it myself. I already replaced the plugs and changed the oil, but I'm told it needs the carbs cleaned and while I know how to clean carbs in a car, I have no idea how to do it to my new bike. I know where they are... but that's about it. :) I haven't read that much on the forums yet, that's next.

Anyway, thanks for the great forums and I'm glad I found ya!

p.s. I hope the pic makes it in, if not I'll try again. :)

Welcome to the forums Jason. Yes carb stuff is discussed a little further down in the forums. But holler and someone will be able to assist.

Congrats on the classic Kawi! Cleaning up the carbs is simple task. Don't sweat it too much. But, you will want to buy a carb synchronizer after you get the carbs reinstalled..

Welcome to the KF family.

Welcome. Carbs are not to bad, just get a service manual first. It will help you get it back together after you get frustrated and let it sit for a week:D
