Hi from the playground. I picked up a used 08 KLR in the fall and have been doing quite a bit of work/changes to it over the winter in hopes of doing the TLH (Trans Labrador Highway) sometime this year.
It Seems that the PO ran it a little low on oil so it needed some new cams and valves so while I was in there I decided to do the 685 as well to fix the oil consumption problem that a lot of 08's and up are known for.
I also switched the forks for some USD forks off an 04 KX250F, LOL now you know how I came up with my forum name.
Looking forward to getting it back on the road.

 

Welcome to the forums. I rode an 05 a few years ago, and was impressed with the power. Where are you located? I took a 3 day 700 mile loop on Vancouver Island a few years ago, it was epic!!!
