Default Old fart checking in

Just stopped by to say Hi. I get some great info from various forums (TurboDieselForum, etc..)

Just returning to street riding after 15+ years (500 twin and 900 4cyl). Also did 2 full seasons road racing in the Northeast with AAMRR on a modified Kawasaki 500 triple H-1 (yeah that was not too smart).

Bought a new 2007 250R yesterday. Worried that it would be too small, too underpowered, too low end. Was I wrong! This thing handles much better than I expected- but I was comparing it to a modprod bike of the 70's. And once I have it broken in and can rev to redline it should be even more fun.

Will be watching here for some good info about the best bike I have owned yet.

John

Could be, but having been there with the race bikes (including some track time on a TZ250) and a heavily modded 900, this 250R is a lot of fun. Easiest bike I have ever thrown into a corner- it's all about momentum and carrying the speed.
Biggest problem is my daughter is already eyeing it.

Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome to the forums. Not sure on what issue you had with the H1. Middle cylinder seize? poor brakes, frame flex, etc. The 250's are great whether the TZ's or the EX stuff. Once dialed in of course.
