Kawasaki Forums - Newbie from TX

Hi everyone -
After promising my hubby several years ago that I would never again get on a bike, he bought me an 07 KLX 250 last weekend:)

I grew up riding in AZ, but after an accident he made me promise not to ride. I was the last rider in a group ride on my Dad's Goldwing with him as the co-rider. My Mom was following in the car. A car full of college girls was watching the bikes, lost control of their car and went between me and my Mom's car. My Mom t-boned their car, the passenger died and my Mom was severly injured.

My husband has had several bikes over the last few years and I've tried to ride them, but have been too nervous. He recently purchased an 06 KLR650 and have been looking for something smaller that I can ride that will keep up on weekend and camping trips. Test drove a KLX and fell in love with it.

So, after a long drought I'm back on two wheels:D. Looking forward to spending a lot of time on the forum and chating with you guys and gals.
