Newbie alert - Carb rebuild kits Kx125

Hello, thanks for the add, looks like a good source of info here.

Anyone had had good luck on buying carb rebuild kits for their KX? I have a 98 Kx125 and some of the kits out there I see (Motosport etc..) do not have the best reviews.
Thanks in advance

It's easier to simply buy the new parts you want or need individually from a dealer or a place like www.jetsrus.com. No need to get anything you don't need. In about 40 years I've never bought a rebuild kit. Fact is when working at a Honda/Kaw/Yamaha dealership the service department never bought kits. Only the parts needed.

No problem. It isn't like cars/trucks, the carbs are so uncomplicated you just get what you need. The bowl seals with an O-ring as do the slide cap and other parts, so the usual stuff needed by MXers are pilot jets and main jets. Unless the slide shows wear or jetting is way off, there is no need to get a slide or needle. If they did show a lot of wear or something, then you might buy it, but not otherwise.

Check out this Google search on Mikuni carb tunig. Look at some of the sites, especially the Mikuni manual and that should help.

I know this forum isn't too active for a lot of Kawasaki models, but there is help to be found on line. You can go to the KLX250S sub forum here to ask. There are some riders who may help or know where you can find help.
