Newbie Alert ⚠️
Hello to all
I am a proud owner of a 2023 kawasaki z400 and have been riding for 2 years now. I've done nearly 20,000 km in those 2 seasons. I started riding because of friends that ride and with the stresses of my life building up, I needed a way to relax, and riding was it.
Im 46yo, took the safety riding course offered in my province to learn the basics, and plan to do at least one riding course a year to improve my skills. My final goal is to spend a lot of time on the track in the end. I've been married 21 years with 4 children. The oldest is 27, youngest is nearly 18 so I will soon have much more free time and I am happy to have found riding.
Being in an area that snows 5 months of the year I can only ride during the fair weather months but when those days are here, my wife and myself enjoy riding out to nature parks, to go hiking for the afternoon, then to dinner and end the day with a beautiful ride off into the sunset 🌇 heading home.
I have some mechanical knowledge and can follow instructions easily, as well I learn quickly with topics I enjoy. I have been doing all my own work so far and hope to continue with it. So far I have done all my own oil changes, my first and second inspection, lubed my cables, added a front and rear dash cam, 2 separate USB interfaces with a toggle switch to avoid the power being on constantly, as well as a underglow to be seen better at night, when I apply my brakes the LEDs all go red.
I look forward to learning from some of the more knowledgeable members, and reading the vast library of information within the forums.
Keep the rubber side down. ✌️👇

Hello Rob,
Sounds like you have found yourself a great space! I live on Vancouver Island where it has not yet snowed this year, but the rain has been unremitting! Great weather for working on motorcycles, so I am.
Where is the "send button"?
