Newbee and old bike

Howdy all.
Here is my intro. I live in Cincinnati but work in Louisville. So I split my time between the two cities. I just aquired a 1989 600 Ninja, for free. It has been sitting for 2 years. As you can imagine it does not run. This morning I was able to get the gas cap to open with liberal use of BP Blaster. I also bought a Clymer manual for it off ebay. Additionally, I found that the battery is trash, no suprise there. Oh and I was able to get the clutch to work. The cable was stuck in the sleeve.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have some general maintenance ahead of you and then some.

welcome to the site. for a free bike it's kinda worth fixing her up to get it to run. let us know how the progress goes with the bike.
