ah caffine, haha. thanks.

liking the bike, have just under 500 miles on it so far so gonna be taking it in soon to have its first round of maintenance. only complaint i have is trying to find more aggressive tires for the 17" wheels isnt easy. i do alot of offroad riding, nothing real hard on the bike but it will see woodland trails so loose/packed dirt, some mud, and will also see pavement because when weather permits its my daily driver. might see some sand at the dunes later this summer as well.

the tires that are on it grip well on packed dirt/gravel, little slippery on the loose dirt and useless when you hit mud/snow, instantly pack up and become slick. anybody know of some more aggressive tires in the 17" size, or am i better off getting a second set of wheels from a 250s?

Ok, I'm a new member. I traded my '09 KLR for a '10 KLX250s. I felt that trying to ride the KLR on trails was like trying to wrestle a pig. I re-jetted the carb, added the FMF exhaust, skid plate and a new Corbin seat. Someone out there convince me to why I should like this bike. I think I might have made a big mistake. Maybe a KTM 450 is what I needed. I'm 6 foot and 240 lbs. I feel like Zippy the Pinhead while riding. Please be kind with your response. I've owned a Honda 650L, a Dr-650, a KLR650 and now this. After buying the bike the dealership told me that Kawasaki will be releasing a 450 next year. That really helps my buyer confidence. Thanks for your response.
