Default New Rider From Plainfield, CT

Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself My name is Mike and I'm from Plainfield, CT for any of you around the area. I've been interested in motorcycles for a year or so, but never pictured myself as a rider. That was until I recently visited North Conway, NH on vacation and passed around Laconia during bike week. From that point on I knew I wanted to ride and experience the freedom, so I purchased a new 2008 Vulcan 500 LT. After getting last week I immediately signed up for the MSF classes to ensure I learned right and had the right basis for riding. I'm halfway through the classes now and will hopefully have what it takes to be a good motorcyclist.

I look forward to getting to know you all!

Thanks for the welcome, all. I'm crossing my fingers I pass the MSF course test (seems like figure 8's and slow, tight corning are tougher than I thought). Though a day doesn't go by that I don't want to get on my motorcycle and keep practicing -- its really a great feeling!

Welcome Mike, great bike. Now of course when you get bored riding around on the streets, then either trade in or pick up as a second bike the KLX 250 Dual Sport and really have some fun. Nothing beats trails and off road exploration.
