Hey - just signed up. Looking at buying a KLX250S or LKR650.

Figured this was the best place to get help with decision and to see about best helmet, etc.

Welcome, I'm assuming you meant KLR 650, that's a tough choice. If you like road trips more then the KLR is the bike, but if you like the tight trails then the 250 is the bike but if you like a little of both then the I would go with the 650 or the 250 LOL?

 

The KLX is leading right now. The dealer that I called handles several brands and is pushing a Honda CRF225L... it does seem to be a good bike - a little less $$ too. But we shall see. Honda probably has a dealer incentive going lol.

I'm a sales guy so I can't help but think that way.
