Sayin hey, just registered today. I'm currently going through the process of permit and saftey course for license, but i've been pricing bikes for a month now and already bought jacket/helmet/gloves and such. Currently lookin for a ninja 250 or 500 to buy used.

Sadly, i stopped eating ice cream.

Peace.

Welcome! x2 on a klx250! I would get the 500 over the 250 ninja. You will love both of them BUT you will want a lil more power than the ninja 250 has. You will want to sell it once you get used to it. 500 will last you many many years.

Wait a minute BnG68, I have a two fiddy! It does lack some power for the streets, but the pre-gen (pre-08) rides that use the 16 inch wheels make a good choice for the shorter stature`d riders out there (which aides in comfort for newer riders). I do like the 500 as well and it will do better on the streets I think because of the cc's and better choice of tires since it uses 17 inch hoops. They both are a blast to ride.

Dont get me wrong, i love the 250. Its actually our number one seller along side the klr650. But if yer doin highway commutes I wouldnt own one. Now if I was a college student goin to KU and lived in town, damn straight I'd get one haha. ONLY IF I didnt already have my klx250 hehe
