If the BRC is "approved" by state or some qualifying organization and you can get your temps by taking it; yeah, probably.

Very funny.....you DON'T need a ZX14 young man!

Yeah I told him I dont know, thats alot of bike..
He went into the traction control and low power mode..
Granted I have a fast car but 2 wheel experience is all scooters zipping thru traffic..
I just went around dealer sitting on all the bikes looking at seat height..
Seems I need 32"(max) and lower
I am far from young LMAO
I took the permit test and passed of course. Now just need to book the BRC class..
I got to find if any of the guys on the forum live near me

Welcome to KF and good luck with the many choices out there.

I wouldn't mind the ninja 650 for a 25k mile a yr ride. I rocked an '88 ninja 750 daily, hit up out of state rides and had a great time with it. Averaged 17k miles a year with zero issues. If that is what you are planning on as well as some get up to speed.

I like to rock my lil 500 on almost a daily basis. True, nothing to write home about on the straight line stuff. In fact it takes some time to wring it out. 250lbs is abit weighty for a 500, 650 twin stuff for sure and displacement is prolly what you are wanting for the straight line stuff. Just remember that any ride can and will eventually bite you somehow, from either your neglect or by someone else's neglect. Do not be a statistic but enjoy the freedom of riding.

I too need a 32" seat height and am abit on the chunky side at 185. The bikes that I am diggin' most of the time in my stable are the ninja 250 (short 400 mile day rides in the twisties), ninja 500 (use it daily for commutes and for occassional out of state cruises), kz1000 (heavy beast in town, stable on the straight line stuff and out of staters), 10r (strictly track only). You may find a used zx7 that will foot your bill or the F model 750 series. I love my H2 750 for power and stability, but it still carries some weight with it. One of the first slipper clutch bikes available and it launches outstanding with the wheelbase being abit longer at 55inches I think it is (I would have to look in my manual on that one).
