new to forums, noob on bikes
 

hello everyone figured i would get the welcome post outta the way and introduce myself.

My name is KG and last season i bought a 1995 GPZ 1100. its my second bike i've owned and unfortunatly for me its fallen into the same situation as my older yamaha maxim550.

i'm hoping that with the knowledge i can get from you guys around the forum i can get my bike back on the road and be riding before the season is over this year.

currently the bike wont start but even if it did. i suspect that either a piston wrist pin or the bearing has failed and the bike makes odd internal noises when its started.

but those problems are for another post so right now i'll share a few pics and hopefully i can get started on some research to help me with my bike.

You know that you are going to get harrassed with your lack of riding gear?

i had no clue, i'm new to bikes and this is my first forum for them. when i get it back running again i was planning on getting a jacket. but with the lack of response on here with my problems i'm still pretty lost as to what to do to even get it on the road.

I was not razzin ya to bad, but yes gear up. Still curious on your other posts on the bike issues.

Welcome to the forums. Trade that bike in on a KLX and have some real fun....sorry I have to say that, it's in my contract.:D

definatly gonna stay street bike, but i wouldnt be opposed to trying dirt.

if any of you guys know something about my other issues could you post in the other thread? im really confused on this.

If you're new to bikes, trade it for a 250 and learn to ride it properly before you do yourself some serious damage.

Optimo, welcome to the forums! Why do you suspect wrist pins and/or bearing(s)? What kind of noises, and details? History of the bike? Bring us up to date with more details; we're good, but we aren't mind readers. :)

to sum it up, there is strange noise coming from cylinder area on right side of engine case, the noise only happens under throttle and cant be heard at idle. if you have any ideas please post in there.

i do some stereo competitions and car shows with her. and i can say with this vehicle i've been there and back again. when i bought her in 05 i couldnt even change my own oil in the car. now people are calling me to help them with engine swaps to make sure it goes smoothly

Yeah he was,,, He was on the Tib forum alot,, his name was Mike,, he no longer has that thing though :(,, oh well some duesebag down the road bought it and acts like he done everything to it,,, ahhh that pisses me off lol ,,, that car has my blood under the hood as well lol

so guys looks like im going to attempt to open up the engine and fix for myself if its something i can do. if not i'm gonna be on the hunt for a zx1100 bottom end
