Seen alot of good info on here, so I decided to get involved.
I live in central WI andride a 1996 Vulcan Classic,1500.
Nice bike, but not enough speed on the big roads,it's only a 4 speed, needs a 5 speed.
Went to Sturgis last year and the bike screams pretty good at 100 MPH.
Not sure why Kawasaki would put a 4 speed in a cruiser?
Looking to get into a 2005 or 2006, 1600 Nomad.
Been lookingat alot ofother bikes, and I just can't find anything that compares to the 1600.
Just curious how you 1600 nomad riders like yours?

Welcome to KF. I like the new 2.0 Meanstreak. Now it's belt drive, and the styling is a bit more aggressive looking.

Don't know much about the Mean Streak.
Really like the look of the Nomad and I like the hard sealed bags

I never knew there were Vulcans with only 4 gears. Strange.[&:]
