Personally - I'd get the black shield. You might want to wait until you can put the helmet and bike together - then you can see which shield looks better.

 

Welcome. You'll love your new bike. I think the black shields look the best, too. The fender was the first thing to go on my ninja 250. You can order a bracket on ebay for your license plate (about $16) and use a dremel to cut off the fender. Then you can integrate the rear blinkers into the empty spots on either side of the rear brake light. A friend of mine was kind enough to spend many hours making all this happen, but in the end it was worth it.

 

depending on your helmet, see if you can get a red iridium one. sweet ! and congrats on the bike.

 

Hey evil636, that silver ninja with the flames is a sweet bike!! I saw the same one at the dealership here and tears started rolling down my cheeks. Very cool!! Like on your bike.... I want my rims to be red on my ninja 250. Did you do that yourself? Was it difficult??

 

Hey 06ex250, so it's March 2 now, I take it you got your bike yesterday and ran it around the block a few times? How was it? Did you have your gear match the color of your bike? Post some pics of your bike.

thats the stock color from the factory. powder coating the rims is easy to do, just take them off and take them to a shop, unles you have a pc set up in your garage. you can allways paint them too, but the paint will not be as durable as the powder coat. i now have powder that matches the stock red on the 636 wheels. finally !! it took a few times to match it but i got it. ill be doing a few more things with it, youll see. thanks and ttyl.

 

Actually, thats just when they said they should have it in, now they said it will def. be in by Tuesday at the latest, or maybe even Monday! Trust me, pictures will be up the day I get it!!!

So wait untill you all hear this.......I went to the dealership whom I purchased my bike through. My salesman told me last week it would be in today(Monday) or tomorrow at the latest. I asked him whats up and he responded by saying that he would check with the ordering guy to get the status....he then proceeded to tell me that Tom had not been able to locate one to ship in and and that by tomorrow he should have some more info. I was so mad! It is supposed to be almost 70 here this weekend! So I asked him well, like now what? He responded by saying that he would have more info by tomorrow but it could take another week!!!!!! I will keep you upto date though....I am supposed to call him tomorrow afternoon.

 

Dude get your friggin' money back and go to another dealership, that is just bs! It took my dealership 3 days to get my bike to me, even though they had to coordinate with another dealership to get one in for me. I hope they either get their act together or you get your money back and find a better dealership. Keep us posted.
