found this forum because i was looking for some info and input.

my boss has a 2001 zx600e for $3000 he wants to sell.

not sure on mileage, i'll ask when i get to work. how are these bikes? im a beginner when it comes to sport bikes. i figure it wouldnt be as fast as the new 600s out now so it would be good to learn on.

Welcome to KF. 01 zx6 is a good ride. around here 3k is an OK price, as long as it's in good condition.

If you have never rode a sportbike before you probably would not notice any weakness between an 01, and a brand new bike, especially not enough to change the skill level required to ride it. Many people here have started on 600+ bikes, but you have to unlock its potential slowly. If you feel comfortable with bikes you should have no trouble with a 600, provided you respect the power of your machine, because they are incapable of respecting you......welcome to KF

Not sure on prices nor your comfy level on a ride. But ^ to the above. Respect is a big term in riding whatever bike you choose.
Welcome to KF
