Lurker comes Clean

I've been checking this site out even before I bought my 2010 KLXS 250 this past August. Since the purchase, I've been reading up on mods and farkles that y'all have done to your bikes, all the while thinking what I wanted to do to mine. So a belated thanks to everyone.
As for my background, I started riding in 1971 at the age of 16. My first bike was a 1970 Honda CB350. From there it was a 1973 Honda Elsinore 250, then a 1981 Yamaha 650 Special II before my riding took a hiatus in 1985. I started back up again in 2003 riding with my youngest son. That bike was a KX250 followed by a KX250F with its stable mate a KDX220. Did I mention Yamaha 1100 that I was also riding during this time? Then in 2006 I bought a new Yamaha 1700 (currently 70,000 miles) then in 2008, I bought a KLR650 which now has 16,000 miles. Well my son quit riding and my two dirt bikes and his KX450F were sitting there collecting dust. So this past August, I traded in all three + $250 and walked out with my new KLX250S. I’ve taken my KLR to Big Bend twice now and plan on taking both bikes out there again in December.
As mentioned earlier, thanks to all for the ideas on what to do with my bike.

Riding since 71 at the age of 16....Someone older than me FINALLY!!!! Hahahahaha Welcome to the forums lurker. ;) I had a CB 450 back in 1980, orange and black with the batman ferring, went through the three wheeler and then a 4 wheeler, a few dirt bikes in between. My first bike was a 74 Hodaka Combat Wombat then I went a few years without a bike, picked up a yamaha 750, then 15 years ago I sold that, and fast forward to 6 years ago, I bought the KLX and then the wife wanted a bike so we got her a 2006 Yamaha XT 225, and then I picked up a 2005 Honda ST1300

Here's the Yamaha, its the only picture I have of her, I wish I would have kept it, it was a clean ride.

How true about hanging on to all those old bikes. That and my old surfboards.Wish I would have kept both. I've been actively looking to buy a '70 CB350. My wife screamed and asked WHY? One day it will just appear in my garage. --Thanks for the welcome

Yes, memories are good. Of course most of my experiences from the '70's are pretty foggy. Actually it's a wonder I made it through. Thanks for the welcome!
