Looking to purchase any Kawasaki I can afford...
I'm new to the Kawi forums...
I'm looking to buy a 250R Ninja but I'll take anything I can afford really. I'm looking to spend up to $2k for a used bike... I'd like a 06-07 636 but I'll settle for a 1997-2007 250R...
I currently own a 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo and just want a bike...

I'd start with Craigslist, but for 2 grand you'll spend money on repairs since most will be salvage title.. but who knows, you might be lucky and get decent 250 or 500.. it won't be 636.. that's my dream to

Thanks for the welcomes! Yea, I know a 636 isint in my price range...and if one was it wouldnt be in good enough condition for me to buy it. That was just me dreaming out loud...I'd probably get into trouble starting with a bike that big. Yea, I think just keeping my eye out will be the best way to go. Someone on the MR2 forum I'm on said they saw a local 2005 250R for sale with only 400 miles on it for $1500 in great shape last year... If I find a deal even remotely as good as that one, I'm jumping on it. Yea, I dont mind doing simple repairs. I'm not into getting a salvaged title unless it was salvaged for some BS reason like the insurance company likes to do sometimes...

the lower models and older bikes get salvaged very fast by the insurance companies because the parts cost more than another bike not to mention the labor. so they get slvaged from tipping over inthe parking lot.

Yea, that's what I was talking about. I'd take one of those in a hot minute... I don't care about re-sale values or anything...i'm 19. I just want a decent bike. The frame must be perfectly true, the engine must run at least well if not excellent...but fairing scratches or even cracks...I can work with that...I'll have all that little stuff fixed in no time...
