Default Long-Time trail buster, new to Kawasaki

Hello!

Having relied on several of the threads posted on this site to get my '06 klx250 up and running, I've decided to join the ranks! Y'all seem like a decent bunch.
A bit of history: 35 this year, been riding dirt bikes since I was 12. Started out on an '82 XR200 and mainly owned 90's XR's and DR's through the years. Sold what I had to move about to various states, and now I'm back in CO and my old man gifted me this 2006 KLX250. Newest bike I've ever owned. Didn't run at first, cleaned the tank, cleaned the carb, changed the oil and brake fluids, and been tuning and working on it since December to get it in shape for the season. Changed out the knobbies for some Dunlop D404s and gonna focus on just bustin' around town while I teach a new rider in my household to ride their z125. Eventually I may return to the dirt, if I can convince them to join me.
This is the first bike I've truly wrenched on and I'm learning a ton. I'm the sort that can't stop thinking about new mods to do to improve QOL. Eventually would like to pick up a Versys 650 for longer hauls.
Some of the changes I've done to this bike: rear fender delete and custom plate holder/light. Clarke gas tank. Re-jetted the carb for altitude. Thumb-screw for idle air mix. Air box snorkel delete with K&N filter. Bike already had the FMF PowerCore 4 installed.

I look forward to my time here! Cheers!
