Hi folks i'm new to the forum. I have an 08, klr 650. I travel 4 miles of gravel, the stuff like marbles, and 16 of pavement to get to work. I live in northern Alberta and some rides home get a bit cool. I was wondering if any one has tried the larger windshield and was it any more effective.

I don't know if you got my first message as i wasn't up to speed on how to respond.
I ride in a Kilimanjaro jacket and joe rocket pants. My helmet is a flip up full face Zox and boots are HD. It's a mix and maatch of what was available in the area in late summer.

 

How about some heated grips? My wife has them and they are nice and toasty.

hi. Heated grips are good, i had them on my old beamer. i gues i could get the heated vest too. I was just wondering if the larger windshield gave any more protection or if it was just a hassel?

I'm a little old and techno slow, so how does one go about hooking up with riders of similar bikes. Not that i don't enjoy the comments of all the others. I ride with some friends with big street bikes but just wondered that since the KLR was soposedly so popular where the others were. Mabe still out riding while in my nice warm house?
