Just got my own bike

Just came in from my very first ride!!

Well, I guess it doesn't really count as a "ride" since all I did was cruise up and down the block a few dozen times. But hey... I'm loving it already!! I'm just excited that I got it started and out of the driveway by myself. LOL Can't quit smiling. I'll wait til my hubby gets home to do any more than that.
Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I've been out riding around the neighborhood the last 2 days. Just trying to get used to riding instead of being on the back. Could hardly wait to get out there again today... but woke up to about 5 inches of snow... Grrr!! Guess I'll have to wait a few more days. My husband took it out the other nite and he came back with the biggest grin. Says its alot different than his R1 but he was lovin it. We live in the mountains so he got to try it out on some twisties... Cant wait for my turn!!!!
Congratulations on your new bike & Welcome to this Forum. It's an excellent bike to learn on, and you will learn a lot. I started out on a 50cc motorcycle in 1982. I am New to this Forum also and It's a Great forum with a bunch of super friendly people. It's a great environment to be a part of; I am sure you'll enjoy your stay as much I am enjoying it and feel very welcomed here. I plan to be a part of this community for a long time to come in the future. It's great having you with us.
Guess what? My husband taught me to ride a stand up wheelie today! Haha J/K!! But we did go on a ride together. Finally got out of the neighborhood and onto some real roads. Even some twisties.
I did alot better than I thought I would. It was a little scary but totally exciting! I need some more practice with starting and stopping, but felt pretty confident in the turns. I cant wait to log some more miles, thanks for all your encouragement. I'll keep ya posted.
