Default Hi All....New Member With Repair Issue Seeking Advice

I purchased a used 1991 KX 60. The previous owner said the bike ran when parked. I removed/cleaned the carb, put in new plug, replaced all fluids, and tried to 'fire it up'. It would not start after several attempts.

The spark plug was getting really wet with some time of brown water. I drained the new coolant from the hoses, pump area, and radiator. I tried to crank it several times again....took the plug out and each time it was wet with brown water.

I drained the crank case oil, disconnected the carb and cranked it more times...still has brown water in cylinder. I have tried to use a vacuum over the spark plug opening.....still brown water in the cylinder. It seems that the brown water is less....but still there.

There are no fluids in the motor....could the brown water be from the exhaust pipe? How can I dry out that cylinder?

hmmmm sounds like it could be a small crossover leak at the head gasket. Pull the head, its the only way you will track it down. Oh and welcome to the forums.
