Hey! I'm new :)
Hi Ladies and Gents.
Firslty would like to say Hi to all. 2nd had a few questions:
I'm new to biking and I am going to do my CBT (here in the UK) very soon. Now because I am 25 I can do a Direct Access course, which lasts like a week or so and then I can take a test and ride any size bike.
- As this is going to be my first bike I don't really want a 125/250/500 etc. I just wanna go for a 600cc and keep it for as long as possible. Is this a good choice?
-I have narrowed the bikes down to a Kaw or a Yamaha R1. I think I would really love the Kaw ZX6R 2007 model. As I have no biking experience I wanted to know is this a good bike for street riding? I may just use the bike to commute to work once or twice a week and for fun (work is like 10 miles there and 10 miles back). If this is not a good bike for street riding please advice on alternatives
- I am about 5ft9/10", will the bike be comfortable for me and how heavy is it?
Cheers People.

RE: Hey! I'm new :)
Welcome to KF. If you never been on a bike before and just starting out start smaller than a 600 till you get some more expirience. But then again, if your a quick learner and feel comfy then go for it. It's all up to you after you take the course I guess. good luck and keep us posted. Be safe...cheers!

RE: Hey! I'm new :)
Welcome, the 600 will be fine if you use your head. any of the rides in that size range will spit you off if you get stupid.
Stay smart
take your time
ride like everyone is trying to kill you
