Exclamation Help! LTD

Okay guys new to forum, not new to motorcycles. I have an old I believe its probably around an 1988 LTD 440 (prestine). Its currently not running, and do not now why. It has been sitting in dads shop for about twelve years. He said I could have it and I need some money so I'm gonna fix it up and put that baby on craigslist...anybody have an idea what i could get out of one?

Welcome to KF.

You need to study the basics, fuel and spark. Generally, any ride sitting 12yrs without any proper fuel system cleaning or battery charging, or corroded connections cleaning should begin in those areas. Keep in mind that the LTD will not normally bring you a top price. Enjoy

Okay dad gave me the history on the bike today. It was my g-pas and he blew the engine and gave it to us, so my dad bought a used engine off a guy and got it installed and everything then realized the wiring wasn't the same, and put it up for fourteen years lol. So here i am I have the bike nice condition needs some TLC, first thing on my list is to get spark, tinkered with the coil from the new engine and got diagrams from both models and tried to get spark and couldn't pull it off. any ideas? where do I need to start?

Welcome Good luck with that project. It should be fun. You might want to look at the steering head part of the frame for the model year. Kawasaki did not make the 440 in 1988, but its probably a 1978, which makes it even cooler IMHO
