Hello from Macungie, PA

Hello All,
I'm glad I found this forum and hope to be a frequent visitor and contributor. I guess you can say I really enjoy riding. I don't discriminate on type or manufacturer. Just enjoy all kinds of riding. Most recently I'm into adventure touring.

I started out riding trails on a KX80 on Long Island, NY where I grew up. From there I got my MC license at 18 on a TT200. I bought an FZR600R right after college and then got married. Sooooo, the bike was sold to help with the down payment on a house as we stared a family. In 2005 I started back riding with my long time dream machine a Harley Davidson (Softail Springer Classic). I have 20,000 miles on that bike now. My daughters took a real interest in riding with me so in 2007 I bought them a KLX 110. Well it took me back at how much fun dirt bike riding was that I bought myself a 2007 KLX 250S. Today my oldest has moved up to a 2008 KLX 140L. That's a great bike; I ride it sometimes on very technical hilly trails. A friend of mine introduced me to adventure touring in 2007 and needless to say the Harley wasn't the best bike for the light duty off-road places he was taking me. Yeah, he was having himself a laugh until I bought a 2008 BMW R 1200 GS. I have almost 9,000 miles on that bike now. I'm sure by now you're thinking this guy has some bucks! Not really, the bank owns the heavy hardware (the KLXs are paid in full). I'm making all kinds of sacrifices in other places to keep doing what I love - riding.

Thanks for letting me ramble. I think that's the reason for the 'New Member Area'. Anyway, hope I get to meet some of you in the future!

Welcome, adv. Glad you found us, too! I think most of us on this site agree; we just enjoy riding (but it's better on a Kaw.) :)
Feel free to jump in on the discussions, and give us pics of your ride(s).
Again, welcome. Gear up; stay safe.

Wow Todd, that sounds like you are really enjoying the bikes. Congratulations on the KLX, and the BMW is an awesome bike too. Oh and welcome to the best bike forum on the net. ;)

Of course we need pics of all the bikes, just line them all up in the yard like this.:D
