I am new to the bike world, I have not gotten a bike yet due to the age old question of which one. These are the two i am looking at 1) the ninja 500r, 2)the ninja 650r. I know that some people say that you can start on the 650, but what i am wondering is, if the 500 would be enough to keep me happy. I want one that i can do long distance on eventually, I am a big guy 250lbs, 5'11, so i dont know if the 500 would be enough to get me to speed on the highway and what not? If anyone could give me some advice I would be very appreciateive.

Welcome to the forum. At your size you will have to change out the springs in the suspension. And not knowing your full expectations, both the 500 or the 650 are good rides to have. I would say the price and preference would be the final tool in the selection.

 

Thank you for the information, I have decided to go with the 650 due to the fact i know that will be more then enough for what i want, and price is not really that different maybe 2kish.
