Hi I am new to dual sport bikes and looking to buy a klx 250 for my first bike. I found a used 2009 klx 250 s that the owner will sell for $3800. It has 3200 km and is in mint shape. It has been upgraded with new off road tires, rad guards, bark busters , skid plate, and small rack for a bag. These are all mods I would do to a new bike my self if I went that way. I looked at new from dealership ang they want $5400 taxes in. I think the used bike is a good deal but wondering what you guys think. Cheers

Prices do vary by location but that sounds reasonable. I'd inquire about crashes and maintenance records/intervals.

 

Offer him $3200

 

Agree with Brien^; ask for the maintenance history and take someone with you who knows what to look for.
