First Bike
Hello everyone
I just went and purchased my first bike. I bought a 2007 zx6r. Yes i know this is alot to handle and respect for my first bike but hopefully with all my friends being experianced bikers and actually defensive rider course instructorsi will be able to handle the power responsibly. also i am a tall guy. im 6'9 and this bike just barely fits me and im excited to get it. i recive it on may 6th and am very excited to go for my first ride with my friends. Just a quick question how long should i ride the bike before replacing the oil filter and oil???
Cheers

RE: First Bike
Welcome and congrats on the new ride, shorty.
I change mine at 200 mile intervals up to 1200 miles or so. But that is just me. Again congrats, I wanted one of the 07 6rs too. hmmmmm

RE: First Bike
First oil change should be at 600 miles unless u prefer to change it more frequently. If your legs feel cramped by a set of adjustable rear sets that way you can move the set back I think up tp a inch. Don't quote me on that. But they will give you a little more leg room. Have fun with the new bike and welcome to the forum. Oh by the way my first bike is the one I am riding now. 2006 ZX6R 636. JUST DON'T GET TO THROTLE HAPPY.

Welcome to KF. Congrats on the new ride. Just remember the machine will do more than you can make it. Ride within your abilities, and you'll be OK. O, and Get some gear; boots, gloves, and a jacket at least.
