Coming home to USA and motorcycles.

Coming home to USA and motorcycles.
Returning to the USA, Arizona from the muddle east, soon and looking to get back into bikes after a long time.
Have taken the MSF basic riders course and now looking for a new bike.
thinking about a Ninja 500, or 650 as I'm 260# and the 250 might be a little light for me.
Also considerering a Suzuki 650SV (can I say that here?)
Question is, can your get these Ninjas at MSRP or a discount? or is there a big premium on them because of their popularity and shortage?
I'll be shopping in AZ, could go to Tucson, Phoenix, or Albuqueque if necessry, (have pick up truck) though I live in the Whie Mountains up north.
Any info would be appreciated.

Welcome to KF and if you buy a Susucki, we will ban you from this site..........LOL just kidding. I did not know that there was a shortage of Kawasaki's, that would be depressing.
Happy riding and welcome back stateside!

welcome - if you check the individual forums for the size bike you are looking at you should find some thread showing how much people recently paid for their bikes.

On one of the other forums, (SVRiders I think), people were saying that they wanted Ninjas, especially the 250, but they were sold before even arriving at the dealers, people buy them without seeing them and are willing to take any color because they're not sure when the next ones will come along. I'd say that speaks well of the Ninja family.

RE: Coming home to USA and motorcycles.
When I get back in July, and after I get my new Dodge Ram Cummins turbo diesel 4X4 (which I've been saving for, for years), I'll be looking for a 650, either a Ninja or an SV.
I ordered the truck several months ago when diesel was $2.50 a gallon, now it's over $5.00 Once I get it home (from Idaho), I'll be mostly riding, that's a good thing. (Except in winter when we usually have 4 feet of snow laying around. I live at 8000 ft. altitude.
Do you think a 650 could pull the truck? LOL!
Thanks for the welcome and the replies.
