Bought a new one...

RE: Bought a new one...
Yea, I picked up the bike today and it looks great. I need to figure out what is going on with the carb...it will rev up really nice about 1/3 times I try, it just seems to be hesitating...if I give it too much gas, it dies. The mechanic says its the seats, buddy of mine says floats...either way rebuild is on the way, starting once I get my new(used) carb. Thanks for the welcomes and I'm sure I will be around...-Matt-

Holy crap...I have never taken a carb off a bike before, so this is a first...let me rephrase that, when I eventually do get it off, it will be a first...anyone have any pointers on how to get it off???

RE: Bought a new one...
Alright, so I just got my Haynes manual for my bike and I have a small problem, they show the carburetor being removed without (a) the frame in the way and (b) no airbox in the way. Here enlies the problem, it says that I can't remove the airbox without removing the carburetor, and I have a big frame in my way! Help!?

Although I am not that familiar with the '91 600's, my '90 zx7 has grommets on the airbox so that you can undo the airbox while the engine is still in the frame.

If this is a C4, looking at the fiche may give you some help on this link http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/frames...0&parent=12990
My reasoning is when I see parts assembly fiche's, sometimes helps in taking things apart or putting back together.
