bike shutting off...

Hi everyone! Obviously you know I'm new on here and I'm here for a reason. I need help. I have a '86 ZX6 ninja that I just replaced float bowl cap gaskets and a float that was busted. I installed everything back on and got started. It was idling for about 3 or 4 minutes and then it started to die and I got it just in time before it shut off. It'll start but it won't stay started. Can someone help me.

Welcome mario. Are you sure the float you replaced, is adjusted so it's in "sync" with the other 3 floats?
Gear up; stay safe, and welcome again.

I fixed it, it was a leak where the gasket was. I pinched the gasket as I was putting it on. Thanks for getting back with me.

but, as asked above....did you adjust your floats? At the moment, it sounds like you are starving the engine of fuel. Good luck with that. Welcome to KF.

Any idea whats causing the leak? Is it the gasket, or is the float putting too much fuel into the bowl?
