i am new at this, so here is my question. i bought a 1999 kawasaki vulcan 1500 custom, really sweet and well kept, the top end was rebuilt at 42000 mi., it presently has 55000 mi and runs great, there is a tapping in top, can any of you vulcan riders give any tips on this??

 

When was the last time you changed the oil and filter? This ride does use a hydraulic lash adjuster for the valves. Also check the CCT (cam chain tensioner) Good luck and keep us up to date. Welcome to KF

one of the local C14 owners has 35k on his '08
