I have an 85 KZ550 LTD and have had it in the shop several times. I think it's at the point now that I need to have the carbs rebuilt. My issue is the rebuild it's self as well as the syncing of each.
I was wondering if anyone had ever rebuilt these pesky things? If so would you mind lending a fellow biker a hand?

The best thing is to review your manual first. Carb rebuild, cleaning and synchronization will be straight forward with just some basic tools and a synch gauge.

 

I have to find a manual for the bike first. My wife purchased it for me for about $600 and since then I've put round 2,000 into it. THe person that had it before had changed some things with KnN filters and had it suped up for street racing. I could only run it if it was tacked out. Now I can't keep it running once I let off the throttle it dies. She does smoke some but I think the carbs need rebuilt it definately wouldn't hurt it thats for sure.
