Thanks for accepting me on this forum. I have a 1994 Bayou 2x4 that was running last spring and then sat for several months and was given to me but wouldn’t start. Once I got it I did some regular maintenance, general cleaning, oil change, then installed a new carb and spark plug and it started. I then added new tires and thought I was ready to ride. Ever since then if it starts, I will take it for a ride and chances are once I shut it off it won’t restart. Over a period of a week, without doing anything to it, I try to start it with no luck and then one day it starts. Yesterday I adjusted the valves and checked the timing and it worked great for an hour. Now it fires but won’t start. I’m no mechanic and need some suggestions about what to try next.
