Default Re-Jet Carb for 2008 kx65

We are thinking of rejetting the carb on our sons bike. We run stock so we have to stay within the lines but we want more pep. Any suggestions? What about the Reeds? This is our first year on a 65.

Thanks,

Lynn

I'm no expert on a 65 but by looking at the plug you can get a good idea if you need to re-jet. More oily plug is running too rich and lean plug would look more burnt. If the reeds are dry or cracked it's time to replace them. Boysen carbon fiber has a good reeds. If you have to stay stock for a racing a good cheater trick is running a brand new plug at the first moto. Hope this helped.....good luck.
