Exclamation Clutch cable problem. Help!

Hey guys so I own a 01 kx250. I was riding one day and and my clutch cable snapped. I managed to get it back in my garage and was working on putting on a new cable. I installed the cable and check to see if there is tension. The tension was good so I decided to roll it in 1st gear while holding down the lever to see everything is working properly. Heres the problem. The bike rolls in neutral with no problem. When I hold down the lever for the clutch to disengage, I put it in first gear and yet the bike doesnt roll. Like I mentioned before the tension is good but the clutch doesnt seem to disengage, mind the fact that I did not change anything internally. All I got was the new cable and installed it. Is there some adjusment I am missing or is there an internal problem? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Recheck your cable routing, ends seating in, and the actual adjustment. My guess is the cable isn't seating in properly at one end or the other or adjustment is way out of place. It is not disengaging for whatever reason.

Did you check to see that the new cable is the same length as the old one?
Did your bike roll easily in first gear with clutch disengaged (lever in) before?

see this?

The bike did roll easily in first gear when the lever was in before. The clutch cable is the same exact length as well.
