05 kx250f coolant problem. Weeping?

hey

ive tried searching for different threads and havent found something identical to my problem. i have a 05 kx 250f four stroke. i changed my oil today and took it for a quick ride to come back and check oil levels. i came back and was sitting on the ground to check the oil level in the spy glass and noticed a little leakage out of what i have come to find is the "weep hole" it drips once about every 20-30 seconds and only when its hot or running. its def not oil coming out its def coolant... ive read that i need to replace the outer water pump seal? ive also read that this is common for 4 Strokes to weep a little bit out the weep hole. which im assuming its the weep hole its on the exhaust side on the front of the block tiny little pin hole. im new to 4 strokes and dont know much about them. any ideas???? thanks so much

None of my 4 strokes seep coolant from the weep hole after sitting over the winter. maybe after some run in time, the seal will expand and the leak will stop.

Welcome to kF

It is leaking from the weap hole in bottom of waterpump. That outer seal is whats bad if u wait to long it will mess up the inner seal and you will get water in oil. Pull off water pump cover and behind the blades of the pump is the seal. To get the inner seal you have to pull the right side of casing apart.
