engine blown?
i have a 2003 kx 125 stock.i was riding when sudenly the engine just died(made a high pitch noise like engine rev)then died and now i cant get it started.i changed the spark plug, made sure that it was getting gas, made sure that it was getting spark.but it still wont start.when i try to start it it makes a clapping noise, almost sound like water in the gas but there is not.the engine will still turn over but it just wont start.can anyone tell me what is wrong with it?

RE: engine blown?
what wear you doing when the bike "blew up", what color was the plug?, just before you heard the noise, did the bike gain a ton of power and felt like it was just ripping through the gears, power you never knew was their? have you raced the bike, if so how many race hours are on that topend

no i havnt raced it but i do ride the hell out of it.and yea it did have alote of power right before it died it was insanely fast ,soi took the head off and looked at it and found 2 gashes on the right side of the head.checked the piston and found that the rings where blown.so i guess that is the problem.can you get the head bored out more than it is?
