KLX300R Stroker Rear Shock Question
 

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, and here is my first question.

I just bought a 1997 KLX300R with the stroker 340 kit. The owner said the suspension was modified with KX suspension. Not sure if this means both front and rear, and the owner didn't know. I need to rebuild the rear shock, and bought a MSR Seal Head Kit, but it does not fit the shock; the new seal ID is smaller than the old part. Now I'm wondering if the shock is some non-KLX300R shock. Does anyone know what I might have? The shaft OD is .628" (15.95mm, probably 16mm), and the shock body ID is 1.730" (44mm).
