Won’t start in gear

Hi guys, I have a KLX110L for my son to ride and it use to start in any gear with the clutch pulled in but now it will only start if it’s in Neutral, any idea why it has suddenly started doing this ? Cheers Norm

There is a sensor built into the clutch perch, the wire is bad. To test hold the clutch in and the starter button, and flex the cable around, if it tries to start then the widening is bad.
