Default Wire underneath front sprocket?

There is a wire that plugs in underneath the sprocket. Is this a temp sensor or something? Mine is barely hanging on there as the shifter seems to help guide branches into that general area.

Thanks,

Chris

I think that is for the neutral indicator light.

Those wires all throughout the ages in all bikes have always looked like they were barely hanging on. You would think that they could come up with a different plan.

My neutral safety doesn't work once the bike warms up. Anybody else have that problem?

That is the neutral indicator and safety switch. FYI : I if you pull it off your bike will not turn over. If you pull it off after your bike is running it will keep running.
