Moist salty air year round. If you didn't keep your battery connections coated with WD-40 or some kind of anti corrosion inhibitor for example, it would be a nasty white-green corroded mess.

if you ever bump or have brush hold the high beam rocker switch so that BOTH the high and low are on at the same time it'll take the fuse out. Been there done that carry extra fuses now.

I have never had the high beam and low beam on at the same time.
Where is the rocker switch located?
