Hehe, What mav means is that a fuse doesnt "go bad" unless it has been used for a long...long time. If you blow a fuse that means the fuse was good, it did its job and protected the system from an overload caused by a failure somewhere else on your bike.
Semantics, I know, but the point being if you have a blown fuse, then its not the fuse that is the problem.

Just weld a penny in there.... just messing man, but seriously fuses don't go bad period! If a fuse blows then you have another issue. Oh and time isn't a factor either. Fuses don't have a shelf life or a usage factor. The only reason that a fuse would be bad is if the holder is loose or there is corrosion, but again not the fuse.

Bad fuse!!! Did you try scolding it? Or just give it a smack. Maybe hit it with your belt.

Fuses can go bad, depending on environment. When i lived in the northeast i would have to replace fuses in my jeep about once a year due to the corrosive atomospheric environment attacking the alum otherwise i would have fuses blowing left and right.

hahaha on "grounding it" I liked that.
As mentioned above, check, clean and tighten all connections first.
