I bought a used 2018 klx 250 with 2300 miles, so far have been real happy with the bike, particularly after I replaced the seat with one from Seargent!

Ever since I have had the bike there is an obnoxious almost whistling noise from either the front brakes or axle. I have replaced the brake pads then treated the new ones with an anti-squeak spray - but with no success…

Next I will pull the brake pads and take a spin to rule out the brakes. I’ll report my findings, in the meantime, does anyone have any experience with this or advise / suggestions?

Before you pull brake pads, try squirting a little WD-40 between the speedometer drive and the wheel hub. Do a search on Speedometer Drive to see the full story.

 

OK.. sounds like a great "first step" plan... I'll let you know how it works...
