What's a good front tire for soft sand?

Wondering what a good front tire for sand would be? Just wrecked pretty good in soft sugar sand about 30mph....bike came out much better than expected, but it's wasn't much fun. I have the stock front on right now that was all over the place, and finally it went out more than I could save it. I was going to get a matching Kenda 270 and put up front, but after searching the forum, doesn't look like that's going to be any better than stock, maybe even worse.

Kenda 776 F.
Dunlop D908F.
Michelin AC10.
Kenda 774F Parker DT front.:D

All above are DOT.

The Kenda K780 front Southwick is a specific sand trye and still DOT.

Plenty to choose from there.

I run a Scorpion XC on my '09 250. Here in NW FLorida I get a chance to ride in the sand some;) and it works pretty well. I have run a 776F too and liked it. I am about to put a Scorpion Pro on my DRZ, well see how well it holds up

I thought the stock tires were ok for casual sand riding here in NJ but for more aggressive riding I went with Kenda Trackmaster II. If you have not ridden a lot of sand it will take a while to get used to it.

Thanks! That definitely gets me pointed in the right direction.

Ha ha, yeah, got that figured out. It was just the big 4x4 ruts that were crossing each other that got me in trouble. Doing about 30-35mph when the front end started swapping back and forth on me, then it was all over

Try the cheap ass bungy cord steering damper, seriously. One on each side of the handlebar clamp and attached to the frame below the triple clamp. You'll know when they are too tight.:D Works suprisingly well for such a cheap idea.
