Default What is it and where does it go? Found it! Clutch cover!

I have the right side engine cover off to find out what the oil screen is all about. It was pretty clean but there was a long string of black sealant(?) in the area below the screen.

Here's the problem.
On the ground below where I'm working I see a small pin. I don't know what it is and don't know where it goes.
i searched the parts diagram for the clutch and right side cover but didn't see anything that looks like this pin, or whatever it is.
Maybe someone here has seen this before, hopefully.
It's not chewed up like it's been rattling around in the motor so I hope it came from where I'm working and not some other place in the motor.

I just replaced my clutch cover and there was a locating pin just like that for the cover. It helps hold the gasket on.
There is no pin for the oil filter cover, I changed the oil/filter with the new cover.

If you had the clutch cover off, that is it. I don't know that I would go back in for that, just put it in your kawa parts box for next time in.
