What size is the KLX250 Radiator Hose?
 

I've just done the Dynojet kit and some of the free mods to my 06 KLX250 and as part of it removed the De-icing circuit. What I need is a straight joiner to replace the "T" joiner in the radiator hose. I originally thought the hose was 5/8 but the 5/8 joiner is to small anyone know what size i need.

If anyone needs a de-icer for their bike they can have mine for postage cost.

You must live in Japan, I did the same thing to mine. I made the same offer, but got not takers. :eek:

Just order the RH hose for a KLX300R; it's aperfect fit.Part No: 39062-1564 That will eliminate the T-fitting altogether.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm in Australia, I't got me stuffed why they would put it on the Aus models when we are lucky to get below 7 deg C in the middle of winter. The problem is they want $39.90 for the hose where a joiner is only $5

Wow! That's big bucks! They only charge about $10.00 in Japan. Also, the KLX300 has a threaded plug for the cylinder head. Did you pick that up? I makes for a really clean removal.

Not sure what size the hose is, but I suppose you could leave about an inch of hose on the T-fitting and plug it with a bolt/clamp combo if push comes to shove.

I used a 8mm bolt to plug the hole in the cylinder, I used a carby vacuum bung over the barb at the radiator hose but it is to small to clamp securely long term .

See the black T-fitting on the bottom of my CVK? If that's on your carb, you have deicing.

Thereturn side of the system hooksto a T-fitting between the two clamps on this radiator -water pump hose. You can't see it because it's on the inside of the hose.
