Saturday Ride day.....South Fork is located 28 kilometers southwest of Rocky Mountain House on Hwy 752

well for what I had on the clock 180km's since monday I figured I would take it this sat and lay on it....well sometimes under it...........
anyway other than riding it on quad trails it was not to bad just too early & snowy with 2 wheels.....The bike seemed to have some decent power climbing the mountains in first gear...never took it over 8000RPM in any gear yet...but when I was at 8000 in first and hit second on a brutal incline it was decent to pull itself up I was laying on the handel bars to give you an idea on the grade I was dealing with....
Other than the few no traction for the bike & me stupid alpinestars on mud at that incline...well at least we all slid down together..
NOTHING BROKE!!! BIKE RAN LIKE A CHAMP (other than the now disabled Kickstand switch :D Yeah I kinda looked like I was fishing trying to hold up my bike that would not start in the 2' water)....
the other problem I have noticed is that with alpinestars & the shift lever when you are mountain climbimg on "rough" cut lines the alpinestars or equvelant knock the bike in to neutral when you hit a brutal bump or jump you have to keep your left foot really pointing out to avoid this.... other than that the clutch & brake levers are great never broke or anything but never put the bike in the ground hard....just more of a slide backwards & tip over ..

Other than that I love the bike ON ROAD & OFF ROAD......
Just kinda really pushed it to the limit today tho..
I would suggest to anyone to only go out to southfork with a quad there is too much snow & mud with deep quad trenches everywhere really hard to keep the bike vertical....
My father layed in the mud quite a few times with his Jianshe, which by the way broke the clutch handel & the front brake master cylinder!! HAHA he out did me for time down today for sure....

try riding on the balls of your feet a bit more instead on the instep.

but one thing:D thats not good for your shocks to be tight down that much you can blow seals doing that.[8D]

Jam a piece of 2X4 between the wheel and the guard. Better to have it extended than compresssed.

Great pics man. Those power lines look awesome! +1 on the fork seals. Tie down work better pulling sideways rather than down. Hey you could always do what I did because I was too cheap to buy a fork saver. I built one out of wood.:D Thanks again for the pics man. Its good to see the red machine out there.;)

And it doubles as a vampire stake[8D]

Wow I thought the KLX was pulled down a lot, then I looked at the pic again, look at that other bike. YIKES!!!

Thanks Guys...I am going to get me one of those fork savers today. or make one might be easier..
Thats what I though about it must be hard on the forks....But I just about lost the bike on the road driving in to the site so I have to revamp the front of the trailer to stop the tire from turning to the side..

You could get some of these. My mate uses one in his van along with a fork brace.
